    General Info

A MINI BANG is a fandom event that leads to an explosion in fan content, usually fanart and fanfiction. In a Reverse MiniBang, artists sketch an idea for a story and submit it for authors to look at to inspire them. Artists and Authors are paired up to collaborate to complete this story/art combo! A MiniBang is a smaller version of Big Bang, with a cap of 15k words and one complete art piece. Moshang Events also allows Alt-Content for our events.

Who is this Reverse MiniBang for?The Moshang Reverse MiniBand or #RMB25 is a fandom challenge event where artists and authors who are fans of the pairing Shang Qinghua and Mobei Jun from Scum Villain Self Saving System are paired up and work together to collaborate on a fanwork project that includes one Art work and a 5k minimum word fic inspired by that art.How can I Participate? You can sign up as an Artist, Author, Alt content Creator and/or Beta. If you sign up as an Artist, you are not allowed to sign up as an Author, or Alt Content creator and vice versa. You CAN sign up as a Beta while already participating as an Artist, Author, or Alt Content creator but please be aware that this will add to your workload.

How Does it work? Here is a chronological order of Timeline-On Apr 1st, Sign-ups for Artists will open. The application will be a google form where we will require general contact info for this event.Artist may begin working at their Sketch prompt at this time that will be due Apr 25th-On Apr 15th, We will post a google form for Authors, Alt Content and Beta to sign up.-From Apr 27th-30th, Moshang Events will post a link to a slideshow-style PDF with all the submitted Sketch Prompts for Authors to view. Authors must then pick three that they would like to partner with. This claim slideshow will only show; the sketch prompt, a small summary, will state if art is NSFW/SFW, and any warnings/tags. Authors will not know who the Artist is until after team assignments have been made. From Apr 30th, Moshang Events will open the claim form, where Artists can claim the pick they want.Claims will be assigned by a raffle system. Moshang Events mods will randomly assign numbers to Authors and assign down the line from 1 to 50. Event organizers will make all the effort to assign you one of your top 3 choices. On May 4th, Mods will send out communication about the pairing assignments!Assigned Pairs will have from May 4th- June 27th to work on their collaborations! There will be monthly pairing check-ins, and all projects must be done by June 27th, 2025!Pairs will be assigned a day to post their works that week, on their own social platforms and Ao3!What if I need more time? Please contact mods about extensions. Can I come with a collaborative partner already? At this time, we are NOT accepting predetermined pairs! What happens if there are more Artist than there are Authors or vice versa? If there are more Artists than Authors, the Author sign-up period will be extended in the hopes that new people will join. However, if the numbers still aren’t enough, Authors that signed up as pinch hitters will be asked if they would like to take on any of the unpaired Artist. More leeway is given to these pinch hitters; the Mods will allow them more time to complete their art.If more Artists than Authors sign up, Mods will give them the option to wait and see if any Artists drop out, or they can choose to partner with an Author who has an Artist already. This means some fics might have up to two different Artists. If I’m under 18, am I still allowed to participate? No. Scum Villain Self Saving System is an 18+ novel with canon materials and elements not suited for minors.

    Pinch Hitter FAQ

What are pinch hitters?Pinch hitters are authors/artists who are interested in helping out in case a participant drops out. If this happens, the pinch hitter will have the option to accept or deny any requests. The Mod team will never force someone to be a pinch hitter or to accept requests they aren’t comfortable with.

-if you need any support; and
-if you are still on track to make it to your deadline.
Don't hesitate to let us know if you have any issues, or if you won't be able to finish in time so we can find a pinch hitter in time! What if I need to drop out?If you have to drop the event, please notify a Mod and your partner as soon as possible so that the Mods can try to find a pinch hitter if one is needed. What are extensions and how do we obtain them?Extensions are if you need extra time beyond the check-in dates and/or the final deadline. To get one, all you need to do is ask a mod and discuss it with your partner. The duration of the extension will depend on your circumstances.

    CONS

    What are Cons?

Fan conventions are traditionally organized by fans on a not-for-profit basis, though some events catering to fans are run by commercial interests for profit. A fan convention (also known as a con or fan meeting) is an event in which fans of a particular topic gather to participate and hold programs and other events, and to meet experts, famous personalities, and each other.

How can I join a Con

Moshang Events is in the process of putting together a plan to have a meet up at a con in 2025!
